The Intelli system, which is used for all recreation, parks and culture program registration, scheduling, point of sale and monthly passes at The City of Red Deer, will be upgraded next week. The upgrade brings an exciting new Look ‘n Feel for the Look ‘n Book site, along with many new features. This upgrade will provide an improved user experience for customers and staff.

During the upgrade process, customers will experience a brief service disruption. Look ‘n Book, The City’s online registration website, will be unavailable from Monday, September 23 at approximately 4 p.m. to Thursday, September 26 at approximately 1 p.m.

The Intelli software system, the system that hosts Look ‘n Book and all back end registration functions for Recreation, will be completely unavailable on Tuesday, September 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This means that City facilities will be cash only during this time, and all transactions will be unavailable online, in-person or over the phone including the following services:

  • Program registrations
  • Activity reservations
  • Program withdrawals and refund processing
  • Payments on outstanding account balances
  • Access to customer accounts and updating customer information
  • Facility bookings
  • Wedding spaces and picnic shelter bookings
  • Transit pass sales
  • Gift card sales
  • Fee Assistance Program applications

These functions will resume on Wednesday over the phone and in person only. Full function, including new features, to the Look ‘n Book site and the Intelli software system will resume Thursday.

What’s new?

  • Improved navigation and functionality overall
  • Drop-in schedule to be hosted through Look ‘n Book
  • Book select drop-in activities online
  • Book a party package online
  • Rent a picnic shelter online
  • Rent a wedding venue online

Current data and information has been transferred to the new system; however, customers are asked to check their online accounts when the upgraded system is available on Thursday, September 26. If there are issues with your account at that time, customers are asked to contact looknbook@reddeer.ca.

Programming scheduled on Monday, and for the remainder of the week, will continue to be available for customers who have already reserved their sessions, and facilities remain open. The City is asking residents who are hoping to participate in that time frame, to register prior to Monday, September 23.
