Red Deer RCMP GIS charge male for drug trafficking

Red Deer, Alta. - Red Deer RCMP have arrested and charged one male following a lengthy drug trafficking investigation.

On Nov. 30, 2023, Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) arrested Piotr Sikorski, a 38 year-old resident of Edmonton, in a parking lot in south Red Deer. The arrest was the result of a months-long investigation that began in June 2023.

A search following Sikorski's arrest led police to locate and seize approximately 46 grams of cocaine, multiple cell phones, and cash.

Sikorski has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. A Judicial Interim Release Hearing was held for Sikorski, who was released on cash bail and numerous conditions. Sikorski is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Dec. 19, 2023.
