Red Deer RCMP charge individual following motor vehicle collision investigation

Red Deer, Alta – On July 5, 2024, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision, in the area of 77 Street and Riverside Drive, involving a pedestrian and a SUV. As a result of the collision, the female pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital in Edmonton with significant injuries.

Following our investigation, Red Deer RCMP have charged Estela Chua, a 53-year-old resident of Blackfalds, Alta., with the following offence:

• Dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm

Estela is scheduled in appear in court on October 2, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
