Red Deer, Alta. – Red Deer RCMP arrested a male who failed to stop for police for speeding.
On March 10, 2026, at 2:46 p.m., Red Deer RCMP Traffic Services were conducting speed enforcement on 40 Ave. and 52 St. in Red Deer, Alta. RCMP arrested a male driver who failed to stop for police when they attempted to pull him over for speeding.
The vehicle fled from police and was located a short time later abandoned in the neighbourhood of Eastview in Red Deer.
With the assistance of General Duty (GD) and Police Dog Services (PDS), the investigation led to the identification and location of the driver inside a residence. Police obtained a warrant to enter a residence, where they located and arrested the suspect.
Damian German, a 38-year-old resident of Red Deer, Alta., was issued a violation ticket under the Traffic Safety Act, and charged with the following:
- Flight from peace officer;
- Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited;
- Resisting or obstructing public or peace officer.
German was held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing (JIR) and was remanded into custody. German is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on March 20, 2026.
