In response to the high temperatures expected through the week, The City of Red Deer has adjusted swimming schedules at our recreation facilities and spray parks.

Public swimming times at the Recreation Centre Outdoor Pool are extended to 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Evening water workouts will relocate to the indoor pool. Woody’s Spray Park and Central Spray & Play also have extended operations until 8 p.m.

“By extending our operating hours, Red Deerians looking for ways to cool off this week can enjoy an extra hour at the outdoor pool and spray parks,” said Tammy Greba, Recreation Facilities Supervisor. “As always, detailed schedules for drop-in activities can be found on The City’s website.”

Residents are advised that an Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) advisory has been issued for the City of Red Deer. Please use extra caution when planning outdoor activities. Learn more at https://weather.gc.ca/airquality/pages/abaq-003_e.html
