The Recreation Centre Outdoor Pool normally opens seasonally from June 1 to the September long weekend. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool and other water features are part of Stage 3 in the Province of Alberta’s COVID-19 Relaunch Strategy. To align with the provincial strategy, and in order to reduce expenditures in 2020, the outdoor pool at the Recreation Centre will remain closed for the 2020 summer season.
The pool is surrounded by a large deck area which makes it a great space for spending time with family and friends. There are numerous chairs and loungers available for public use as well as a few tables and stationary benches. The pool is a 50 metre, six lane pool with an attached zero depth leisure pool that is used for lane swimming, public swimming and rentals.
