Administration presented a report to Council on March 10, 2026, in response to a request for additional information made at the February 24, 2026 Council meeting. At the February meeting, Administration had provided an update on the implementation of the Electric Utility Municipally Controlled Corporation (MCC), after which Council requested further analysis related to the divestment option and a side-by-side comparison of governance model options. The additional information included one-time and ongoing costs, potential impacts to customers and employees, timing and feasibility considerations, and an assessment of key risks. Following the presentation and discussion on March 10, there was no change in Council’s direction and work on the MCC implementation will continue.
