Residential and Commercial Servicing
Getting or Adding a New Service Connection
If you want to get an estimate of our costs for getting or adding a new service connection or discuss our service requirements, contact us as early as possible during the planning stage of your project.
We will need to know the following:
- Legal land description
- Site plan
- Clearance information - Will the power alignment be clear of obstructions and within 150mm (6") of final grade?
- Duct requirements. Will you be installing electrical ducting during site preparation? Are ducts required under new driveways?
- If and when temporary construction power is required
- Permanent service requirements:
- Voltage (120/208, 120/240 or 347/600)
- Main service size
- Number of meters and/or bays
- Date service is required
We will review your request and prepare an estimate for the project. Once you sign a Work Order authorizing the work, the project will go into our work queue. You will need to complete these additional steps to energize your site.
Changing an Existing Service Connection
Our customer's electrical service needs can change over time, and we can provide you with an estimate of costs to make certain changes. If you want to increase/decrease your service size, change your service from overhead to underground, or make any other change to your electrical service, tell us about your project.
We will need to know the following:
- location
- existing site id
- current and proposed service size
- other proposed changes requested
- timeline of project
