Previously, Veterans were required to apply to The City of Red Deer Veteran's Parking Program via the local Legion but we have streamlined the process to allow anyone with a Veteran plate to qualify for complimentary parking in Red Deer (in City-owned lots and on street stalls).
Important dates:
- Effective November 6, 2023, Veteran parking program hang tags are no longer needed. They will continue to be recognized until December 31, 2024.
- Effective December 31, 2024, Veteran hang tags will no longer be recognized.
Veteran licence plate holders are required to adhere to all parking signs and regulations in accordance with the current Traffic Bylaw, including the time limit specified in the parking zone where they are parked.
