This project is to rehabilitate the iconic and historic CPR Pedestrian Bridge over the Red Deer River.
This Government of Alberta project will widen sections of Highway 2 (QE2) in and around the City of Red Deer.
From February to November 2026, the bridge which runs along Gaetz Avenue between 45 and 43 Street will be replaced.
RTD Utilities, on behalf of The City of Red Deer, will be replacing aging residential streetlight infrastructure in Westpark and Sunnybrook from August to October 2026, weather permitting.
