Red Deer, Alta. – Red Deer RCMP have laid charges against a male, following a series of robberies on Oct. 3, 2025.
Police first received a 911 call at approximately 4:53 p.m. from a gas station employee in the Deer Park neighbourhood, reporting a lone male had entered the gas station, walked behind the cash register and grabbed all the paper money before departing. Police responded immediately, obtaining a description of the suspect.
Minutes later, at approximately 4:58 p.m., police received a second 911 call from another gas station, this time in the Eastview area, reporting a similar occurrence. The victim provided a description of the suspect. During both of these incidents, the suspect entered the business, walked behind the counter and took money without saying anything. No violence was reported.
While searching for the suspect, police received a third call. At approximately 5:15 p.m., a gas station employee in the Parkvale neighbourhood called 911 to report a robbery and assault. In this instance, the suspect entered the store and grabbed the money as before, however the employee tried to intervene to prevent the suspect from leaving, blocking his exit. The suspect pushed and fought with the employee before fleeing.
Investigation revealed the suspect to be the same male in all 3 occurrences, and police quickly released this information to the public, including a surveillance photo of the suspect.
Following the media release, RCMP received a tip providing the identify of the suspect. Further investigation confirmed the tip and police then attended the suspects residence where he was arrested without incident.
Keevyn Marston, a 20-year-old resident of Innisfail, has been charged with one count of Robbery and two counts of Theft under $5000.
Marston was released with conditions following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Oct. 24, 2025.
