Red Deer RCMP make arrest for impaired driving

Red Deer, Alta. – On Nov. 13, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Red Deer RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had struck multiple stationary vehicles and was driving across the lawns of residences in the neighbourhood of Laredo. Police attended and located the driver of the vehicle who was deemed to be impaired.

As a result of their investigation, Red Deer RCMP has arrested one individual. A 41-year-old male resident of Red Deer has been charged with the following offence:

  • Operate conveyance while persons ability to operate is impaired by a drug

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 6, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer. As the charges have not yet been sworn before the courts no additional information is available at this time.
