Red Deer, Alta. – On Oct. 17, 2024, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon outside of a local business.
Officers attended the business, located in the downtown area of Red Deer, and learned that an unknown male had attempted to hit the victim with a hammer. The victim was able to use their car door to protect themselves and leave the situation unharmed.
The suspect is described as:
- Approximately 6 feet
- Male
- Slim build
- Wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants with a white logo on the left knee and grey running shoes
Red Deer RCMP are actively investigating this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
